The original Southport Framework Plan designated four quadrants: the Northeast, Northwest, Southeast, and Southwest Villages.  River Park occupies most of the Southeast Village, the smallest of the four quadrants.  Although each quadrant is being designed as an internally cohesive and integrated community, all four quadrants eventually will be connected by a loop road known as Village Parkway east of Jefferson Boulevard and Southport Parkway west of Jefferson Boulevard, which will circumnavigate the Southport area.  Village Parkway will be extended from south of Lake Washington Boulevard across Davis Road into the project area, then west to Bevan Road and finally connecting to the existing terminus of Southport Parkway in the Southwest Village.  Residential Collector streets such as Stonegate Drive will also be extended south from Linden Road across Davis Road to Village Parkway, connecting River Park to the Northeast Village.  South River Road, which borders the eastern and southern boundaries of the project area, will connect River Park with other riverfront developments in the greater Southport area.
