The 2.6-acre Marina will be located at the eastern tip of River Park with direct access from South River Road. Much of the Sacramento River levee slopes steeply downward to the water’s edge; however, in this area the levee slopes down gently to a level area that is suitable for development of a riverfront facility.
The Marina will feature approximately 15,000 square feet of water-related uses. Potential uses may include a marina, restaurant with outdoor seating, boating equipment store, and parking. The facility will be designed to accommodate the Sacramento River’s periodic variations in water level. The main structure is planned to be attached to piers and designed to float.
